Fixing bikes and riding bikes
I work part time at a bicycle shop called Trikes and Bikes. We have a workshop to service and repair bicycles and we sell new bicycles for adults and children, specialising in electric adult trikes and bicycles. We stock children's bicycles from the brands Frog, Squish and Dawes.

If you live locally to me and you find it difficult to get your bike to a bike shop for repair or servicing I may be able to help. besides working for Trikes and Bikes in our Sutton Coldfield premises I have a local workshop and I'm Cytech qualified to build and service bicycles.
just get in touch with me through this website.

Cycle to the Sea
In 2018 & 2019 I led a sponsored, 100 mile, one way cycle ride from the West Midlands to the coast of North Wales. It was a small, social ride raising a bit of money for a charity of which I'm a trustee.
It had to be cancelled in 2020 but I'm hoping it will go ahead again in June 2021, We shall see.

I've ridden the C2C route 4 times using a farm in Kirkoswald as a base.

It looks like the Keswick Threlkeld path will be finished by the end of 2020 after the bridges were washed out in 2015. That will be great to see.

If you would like to know more about the route I used, how to get around Kewsick while the bridges were still out or anything else related to the C2C ride get in touch via my Contact Page. I'm always happy to share lessons learned.

My local rides
My local riding area extends around Cannock, Lichfield, Tamworth... that sort of general area north of the West Midlands conurbation. I'm very easy to find on Strava, Garmin Connect and Ride with GPS tracking platforms. So if you're new to the area and want some ideas for rides out and some groups to ride with, drop me a line.

A long ride around Rutland, Includes some steeper 'slopes' quiet lanes and country villages.

Quantock Hills
I had a great day out riding on the Quantock Hills in Somerset. The climbs are stupidly hard in places and I shoved the bike up a few including one long hillside that was unrideable. But the hilltop moor riding and the descents were well worth the effort.
Here are some links to videos and there will be more on my YouTube page (user peatvdb).
