If you want to join me for a bike ride I'll have some more routes and dates posted here soon. >>>>>>
Most weekends I ride with the North Birmingham CTC club.
We're a really friendly bunch with rides for all levels of experience and speed. Find our website here to read more about when and where we ride. There are usually six groups on a Saturday; 1,2 &3 are faster, longer and leave at 9.45, groups 4&5 are intermediate, group 6 slower and shorter. Guests and new riders always welcome.
I'm not exactly a 'fair weather cyclist' in that I will ride in the wet and cold. However a check on the weather is always worth the time. You can use the links below to check weather reports all across the world or down your street. Click and explore.
Coast 2 Coast
In 2013, 2015 & 2017 I led C2C rides for a local charity KidsUK.
I used the services of c2chasslefree which is a fantastic operation run by Julie & Robert from their farm in Kirkoswald near Penrith. They provide bunkhouse accommodation (or camping), transport to and from start / finish and a bag transfer. c2chasslefree are brilliant. Click to check out their website.
If you would like to know more about the route I used, how to get around Kewsick while the bridges are as yet unrepaired or anything else related to the C2C ride get in touch via my Contact Page. I'm always happy to share lessons learned.
Good rides out
I had a great day out riding on the Quantock Hills in Somerset. The climbs are stupidly hard in places and I shoved the bike up a few including one long hillside that was unrideable. But the hilltop moor riding and the descents were well worth the effort.
Here are some links to videos and there will be more on my YouTube page in time (search user peatvdb)
